Actress Devika Sanjay has certainly become quite popular after her performance in her debut Malayalam film, Njan Prakashan, which released last year. Next, she’s all set to captivate the Telugu audience with her charm. Sources say that the actress has been roped in to play the leading lady in Chiranjeevi’s nephew Vaishnav Tej’s debut film.
Impressed by the ease with which Devika played the role of a rebellious girl battling a life-threatening ailment in her previous film, the director Buchi Babu and the production house Mythri Movie Makers were convinced that she would be the ideal choice for the lead ing lady role in their upcoming film. “The female lead role demands a potent performance. The filmmakers were looking for an actress who would be able to do justice to it. They have finalised Devika to play the part, but are yet to announce it. They are currently working out the film’s schedules,” said a source in the know.
