Tamil actor Suriya has a big fan following even in the Telugu speaking states. His recent film Gang released along with two other big Telugu films and despite a weak opening, the film picked up from the second day onwards. The actor was in Hyderabad on Saturday and is now going on a road trip to promote his film.
“For the first time, I’m not celebrating Sankranti with my family as I decided to do it with my well wishers,” said the actor, adding, “I am going on this road trip to meet all the those who encouraged my film Gang.”
The actor is very happy that his film’s revenues have doubled since day one. “Even with two big films, we still got theatres and I am happy that it is doing well,” he said, adding that eight years back, one of his films had released on Pongal and the same got repeated with Gang.
“This film is very important to my career as it has shifted and changed my image once again. I owe a lot to my fans for accepting it and thank director Vignesh for offering this role to me and making a good family entertainer,” said the actor.
