Mani Ratnam’s next is a Tamil film that stars Jyothika, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi and Aravind Swamy. Buzz is that senior actress Jayasudha has signed this film and is playing an important role. “There is one important role in the film and Mani Ratnam specially asked Jayasudha to do it. The actress agreed and this is her next Tamil film after Oopiri,” says a source.
Jayasudha acted in many Tamil films earlier as a leading actress, but became more popular in Telugu films. The actress has not signed any film after her husband passed away six months back and Mani’s film is the first one she has signed after that incident. Interestingly, the actress is familiar with Tamil as she can read and write the language. The shooting is going to start from January next year.
