Rashi Singh to play a small town girl

She is cast opposite Shiva Kandukuri in Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana

Having been part of a slew of films like Sashi, Prem Kumar, and Resound, Rashi Singh will be next seen as a village belle in her upcoming film. The Purushotham Raaj directorial is tipped to be suspense-thriller, Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana, starring Shiva Kandukuri.

“I play a girl who is born and raised in a small town. However, it is not a rustic role. I am strong and independent in my thinking,” she says.

Rashi adds that the film, which also has an element of adventure, is about how she helps the protagonist in unearthing a series of unfortunate happenings.

The actress says that the edge-of-the-seat writing is what makes ‘Whodunit’ films very engaging. “We are a very young team, so the thinking has been out-of-the-box,” she shares, adding that it was an amazing experience to be part of a gripping narrative,” she explains.

Raashi is glad at her versatility of films she is part of. While Sashi is a romantic drama, Prem Kumar is a comic caper, Resound is a comic thriller and Naveen Chandra’s untitled film is a murder mystery.

“I feel fortunate to be able to get such diverse opportunities, and credit goes to the filmmakers for choosing me. However, I wanted to do a women-centric story with a challenging character,” she expresses.
