Rajinikanth’s high praise for Murugadoss

The megastar then adds that producer Subashkaran and he decided to collaborate as they were both fascinated with Murugadoss’ script.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s forthcoming film Darbar has been getting an unprecedented buzz. The actor, who plays the role of DGP Aaditya Arunachalam in the film, heaps praises on director Murugadoss. “I enjoyed Murugadoss’ Ramanaa (which was remade in Telugu as Tagore) and asked the director if he’s got any script,” Rajini reveals.

The megastar then adds that producer Subashkaran and he decided to collaborate as they were both fascinated with Murugadoss’ script. Rajini then talks about the challenges they faced during the filming of the January 9 release, crediting the director with the timely completion of the filming. “We faced difficulties during the initial phase of the shooting because of the floods in Mumbai, but Murugadoss ensured that we wrapped up the shoot in time,” he says. And then as he signs out, he shares one more thought about the director. “I believe that after Shankar, it’s only Murugadoss who makes films that are high on entertainment yet have a message in them,” he says. N.V. Prasad is releasing the film in Telugu.
