Finding her own rhythm

Nivetha Pethuraj talks about her upcoming film, Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo and her journey in the industry.

Having tasted success at the box office with her last film, Chitralahari, Nivetha Pethuraj is geared up for her next, the Allu Arjun-starrer Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo, in which she will be seen in a lead role. Even as the actress is tight-lipped about her role in the Trivikram Srinivas-directorial, she lets us in on some things about it. “It’s a completely different role, and for the first time, I have a lot to groove in this film, and that feels like I am pushing myself beyond my comfort levels. The role also requires me to maintain high energy because I have to match the energy levels of Allu Arjun and Tabu.” Nivetha admits that grooving to Allu Arjun is challenging. Then describing his dance moves as ‘lightning quick’ and revealing how he keeps on rehearsing till they go for the take, Nivetha shares, “Matching his steps was difficult as he adds his own swag to the moves and gives it a different spin.”

The Mental Madhilo star then says that the dialogues in Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo are woven around the relationships in a family. “The dialogues have great depth. Initially, I thought my role will be high on the comic quotient, but later, I understood the power of Trivikram sir’s dialogues and how they touch your heart,” she says. Nivetha tells us that she’d given her okay for the film merely after she heard the plotline.

“Who wouldn’t like to be part of Trivirkam’s film?” she asks. Then, talking about how her short stint in Tollywood so far has been gratifying, she says, “My journey may not be fast, but it’s sustainable and I am at peace. It’s always good to grab opportunities, but I am not in a hurry,” she signs off.
