Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna, who made her debut with the recently released film Chalo, is now the talk of the town. Not only has she signed a film opposite Vijay Deverakonda, but another Telugu film too.
The actress is now playing the female lead opposite Nithiin in Srinivasa Kalyanam, directed by Satish Vegesna, the director of National Award winning film, Satamanam Bhavati.
“After the success of Chalo, the team decided to rope in Rashmika as the female lead as they liked her performance,” says a source from the unit, adding that they thought of a few names earlier, but finalised on Rashmika after watching Chalo.
Nandita Shweta is playing the second lead in the movie. The shooting of the film will start once Nithiin completes his present film, directed by Krishna Chaitanya.
