After the news broke out that Adivi Sesh is starring in the Telugu remake of the Bollywood film 2 States, the spotlight turned on the leading lady. After considering several options, the makers have approached Shivani (actor Rajasekhar’s daughter) for the lead role in the romantic drama.
The film’s director Venkat Reddy believes that Shivani can perfectly reprise the role of Alia Bhatt, who starred in the original. Pleased with her role and characterisation, Shivani has given her nod to the film.
A source close to the unit informs, “Director Venkat Reddy was impressed with Shivani’s style quotient and believed that she can pull off the role of a North Indian girl with elan, and thus approached her.”
Shivani is yet to sign on the dotted line, but if all goes well, this would be her debut film. The film is about how a Telugu boy falls in love with a North Indian girl.
