On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the legendary actress Savitri, the team of Mahanati released the title logo. Based on the life story of Savitri and directed by Nag Ashwin, the shooting of this film is going on at a brisk pace and they are looking to complete it by January next year. Keerthy Suresh is playing the title role of Savitri, while Dulquer Salmaan will be seen as Gemini Ganesan, Savitri’s husband.
“The Maya Bazar episode, which they shot on a big set, has come out very well. Now, they are planning to erect two more sets related to the films Devadasu and Appuchesi Pappukoodu. But we don’t know who is playing NTR and ANR in those films,” says a source. The team has also decided to lock the release date as March 29 next year. Swapna Dutt is producing this film that also stars Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda in major roles.
