Actor Naga Shaurya’s latest film Chalo, is on its way to becoming a blockbuster. Helmed by debut director Venky Kudumula, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Interestingly, this is the actress’ first Telugu film.
Talking about Chalo, Shaurya says, “When we first thought about this story, I knew it was going to be a good subject and the film would be a hit, but I never expected it to become such a big hit.”
The actor is also happy about getting the opportunity to start his own production house with the film.
“Actually, the film was supposed to be produced by another producer. But because of the subject, it needed a good producer, so we decided to produce it on our own. It’s been an emotional journey for me,” he shares. He further says, “I should thank my parents, who stood by me and took care of the production.”
Stating that the film’s success is a result of team effort, he adds, “After the release, many people called me for tickets and I thought it was a joke. But later I realised that the tickets were actually not available in many places, which surprised me. It’s a good break for me.”
