While the search for an actress to play Nalini is still on, singer-turned-actor Raghu Kunche has been roped in to play Murugan (Nalini’s fiancé).
It was Raghu’s stimulating performance in the action thriller Palasa 1978 that reportedly earned him the crucial role.
Apparently, director Mahendra saw Raghu’s performance in Palasa and approached him for the part.
Expressing his joy over the role, Raghu says he’s confident that he would excel in it.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to showcase my acting abilities and go to the next level. I am fortunate to get such strong roles,” says Raghu.
“It’s a story that has a historic backdrop! In a couple of days I expect to get sketches of Murugan (the way he looked 28 years ago). Based on that, I will have to transform my looks,” explains Raghu, who is looking forward to the shooting.
