Nabha Natesh to give her own twist to Maestro role

Actress Nabha Natesh says that she is excited to work in Andhadhun remake, Maestro

Nabha Natesh will be reprising Radhika Apte’s role in the Telugu remake of Bollywood film Andhadhun. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the Telugu version of the comic thriller has been titled Maestro.

The actress reveals that she liked the film when she first saw it, but was in a dilemma whether to watch it again when she was made part of the project.
“This is my first remake film, and I was very excited to be part of such an award-winning story,” shares Nabha.

“But my biggest confusion was whether to watch the film again or not. I was apprehensive that if I watched it again I might get influenced by the original character, which of course was great. But at the same time, I wanted to give my own spin to the role. So the best thing, I decided, was to follow the director’s instructions and go with an open mind.”

The iSmart Shankar star knows the plotline since she watched the original. To give it her own spin, she had to unlearn everything for her part. “I realised unlearning is the most difficult thing because there is already a reference point to the character you are playing,” the actress shares.

“The challenge is not to get influenced,” she says, adding, “Working for the film was a great experience.” Nabha considers sharing the screen with Tamannaah a memorable experience. “We had a few scenes together. Working with Tamannaah was so cool. Our conversations centred on food, fitness, travel and films,” she reveals.

“Endorsing that the director was able to extract the best from the actor, Nabha said his attention to detail was inspiring. The actress now wants to dub for her own lines in the film. “Let’s see; there was a discussion during the team meeting, so hopefully…,” she signs off.
