Despite the mixed reviews of the Jr NTR-starrer Janatha Garage, which released on September 1, the film’s collections are showing strong numbers.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the makers are confident that the film is going to be safe and it will break-even, but they still have to wait for a few days to say for sure.
Trade pundits analyse that the holiday season and the absence of a big film in competition may help Janatha Garage’s collections.
In fact, the makers had high hopes when they cast Mohanlal in the film, but with Manamantha’s failure at the box office in Telugu and Malayalam, they expect the negative impact of that film to affect Janatha Garage too.
Experts also say that Jagapathi Babu could have been a better choice as Jr NTR and his combination had worked earlier in Nannaku Prematho.
