Actor Raj Tarun is in the Sankranthi race. Initially, his film Rajugadu was to hit the screens during the festive season but now comes the news that his other film Rangula Ratnam is getting the slot instead.

Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios, is producing the film, directed by Sriranjani. “Supriya (Nagarjuna’s niece) requested Anil Sunkara, the producer of Rajugadu to postpone his film to another date as they are keen to release Rangula Ratnam during the same time,” says a source.

The film’s shooting and post-production work is done and promotions have begun too. “Nagarjuna wants to cash in on the Sankranthi holidays as some small films have done good business at this time, in the past, even in the face of big competition,” adds the source.

Chitra Shukla is the female lead in the film while Sri Charan Pakala has scored the film’s music.
