Sye Raa hits a temporary roadblock

Chiranjeevi's film ran into trouble with the revenue department, however, the issue was quickly resolved.

The shooting of Chiranjeevi’s prestigious project Sye Raa in Hyderabad came to an abrupt stop after revenue department officials demolished the lavish sets erected by the makers at Road No. 25 near Bhooth Bangla. Sources inform that the sets were erected without the permission of the department and a neighbour’s land was also being encroached upon.

The matter gets sorted… There is a vacant land of 28 acres near Bhooth Bangla on Road No. 25 which is owned by a Nizami Minister’s descendant. Since the land was under dispute, the owner was required to inform everything to the revenue officials. Interestingly, the place has been given out on rent or leased for film shootings from the last 20 years. The source clarifies there was no issue with Chiranjeevi or the filmmakers. Rather, it was a miscommunication between the land owner and the revenue department which led to the situation.

The film was earlier being shot near Kokapet, where the makers had erected big sets in a 100-acre land owned by Chiranjeevi himself.
