Pooja Hegde, one of the busiest actresses in Telugu cinema, has been paired opposite stars like Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Prabhas in upcoming projects. Before those films, though, she will be seen in director Sriwaas’ Saakshyam opposite Sai Srinivas. The film, which has been produced by Abhishek Nama, is all set to release on July 20. It is after almost a year that audiences will see Pooja playing the female lead, and it will be interesting to see how the film fares at the box office. Her last film, Duvvada Jagannatham opposite Allu Arjun, was a hit.
“She has already bagged some big films and if this one turns out to be successful, there is a chance that Pooja may be inching towards the top position in Telugu cinema,” a trade analyst says.
At present, Pooja is in Dehradun, shooting for a Mahesh Babu film. She will return to Hyderabad for the music launch of Saakshyam on July 7, and she will then join the shoot of Jr NTR’s film.
