There is always someone better

All set to make an impact with her latest film, Kangna Ranaut talks about her chemistry with Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi. With her head firmly on her shoulders, Kangna is of the firm belief that if she were to disappear from the face of earth, it wouldn’t make a difference, except to her family. She says, “There is always somebody better to replace you. I’d be foolish to say that I have made a place.”

You seem to have a special connection with gangster films — Gangster and now Once Upon…
Both the films may have gangsters but they are very different from each other. Gangster was a huge hit and a blessing for me; I hope Once Upon... also proves lucky for all of us.

Ajay Devgn and you are both very intense actors. What was the chemistry like?
(Laughs). He is very intense, the beauty of working with him is that he reacts so well to emotions, each and every scene becomes real and heartfelt. I have never worked with someone who is so natural, so spontaneous. He is a huge superstar but he has no hang-ups. He is always on time unlike others. Some actors have a fixed time of coming and going to the sets but Ajay would come at seven in the morning and leave at 10 in the night without any tantrums.

The film has Emraan Hashmi and you sharing screen space once again after Gangster and Raaz 2.
I completely adore Emmi, he’s wonderful and probably my only best friend in the industry. But, unfortunately we don’t have a single scene together in this film. However, the thought of him doing the same film made me feel really good. We have good memories of successes like Gangster and Raaz 2.
