Popular Malayalam actress Delna Davis, who made heads turn with her performance in the blockbuster Tamil film Kurangu Bommai, is the latest to enter the television scene. The actress has been roped in to play the lead girl in a mega soap — Anbe Vaa — the title inspired by the name of an evergreen film starring the iconic MGR.
When we asked Delna about her switchover from movies to TV series so early in her career, she replied confidently saying, “These days television gets more popular storylines. And telly actors get the same amount of recognition as movie stars. And in Anbe Vaa, I play a very strong woman and I am sure it will be lapped up by audiences.”
Directed by Prince Emmanuel, the serial produced by Saregama will be on air on Sun TV from the first week of November at 9 pm.
