The Rogue prince of ooru

The debutant, who hails from a film production family talks about his bi-lingual film.

He comes from a family which is closely associated with the film industry, running a production banner of their own — Tanvi Films.

And yet, this MBA graduate had to work hard like any other newcomer to realise his dreams to shine on the silver screen. Ishaan, the new hunk in town had to impress none other than the well-known director Puri Jagannadh who directed Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar’s hero debut — Appu.

The debutant is literally in love with Puri Jagannadh, for turning him into a complete actor, as he leads in his bi-lingual expensive venture — Rogue, made both in Kannada and Telugu. Ishaan talks about his luck working with Puri, and all that adventures of this Rogue avatar.

“My family is closely associated with films for some time now, since my secondary school days. We all live in a joint family with at least 30 members under one roof. When I first expressed my desire to act, like any other producers, my parents and my brother C R Manohar said that just good looks were not enough and hence I went back to studies and completed my MBA. Later, I decided to learn acting under my guru Satyananda Sir in Vizag. He has trained numerous actors who are now stars including Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja Sir and much more,” says Ishaan.

Puri Jagannadh’s Rogue, which is a comeback venture in Kannada apart from being simultaneously made in Telugu, took everyone by surprise, and even the popular Ram Gopal Varma after the release of its trailer.

The director has introduced the debutant in the film by hanging upside down with a rope tied onto his leg!

The actor shares about that particular scene, “When Puri Sir described my introduction scene to me, I was excited and eager to shoot it. I had to hang upside down only with the help of a single rope tied on to one of my legs for about half-an-hour, till the shot was okayed. The entire team was so supportive. They were surprised as they had scheduled the whole day to shoot the introduction scene, but we wrapped it up in less than two hours.”

On finally making his dream come true, Ishaan says that after remaining away from home for almost a year, his brother Manohar. who is also a sitting MLC from the state, and a film producer asked him not to come home.

“I was so shocked when he said that. I was away from home for so long, and very eager to be back home. However, he soon broke the news that I might just get the chance of my lifetime as we were headed to meet Puri Jagannadh Sir for a discussion. I could not have asked for more,” says Ishaan.

He admits that he is completely in love with Puri Jagannadh, for his guidance and the way he totally changed his perception of films. “Puri Sir would always encourage me and trained me in his own manner. He would send me tonnes of popular videos to dub smash and send it back to him. When I started, I was seen as a chocolate boy, and by the end, I was totally transformed. I trained hard in the fight clubs of Bangkok for several weeks, and all that hard work has ultimately paid off on the big screen,” he says, as he sums up about his Rogue venture in which he stars alongside Mannara Chopra and Angela Krislinzki.
