Now here’s a superstar who has come up with a novel way of celebrating his birthday. On December 27, Salman Khan will go on a worldwide search for real life heroes.

A source told us, “Salman is constantly in touch with his fans on his blog. He launched the blog on his father Salim Khan’s birthday and now he is all set to hunt for a veer on his own birthday.”

Salman himself said, “My fans have often heard my stories, now I want to know theirs. There is a veer in each one of us. I will personally pick up the stories that I like and I’m waiting to meet these real-life heroes.”

Those who want to know what the search is about can simply log on to Salman’s blog where Salman’s video is uploaded. Confirms the source, “One simply has to log on to Salman’s blog and write down their stories of bravery. Salman will go through the stories himself and select five that impress him the most and will later meet them personally.”

Salman, who is known in the industry for his generosity, is undertaking this task on his birthday to give credit and respect to people who need to get the recognition they deserve.

In what’s touted to be his best performance till date, Salman will be seen playing a warrior in this period film. The movie revolves around a man who is known for his heroism and bravery amongst the Pindari tribe. It’s the untold saga of a freedom fighter, who fought for social justice and independence.

Eros International and Vijay Galani’s epic film is all set to release on January 22, 2010.
