Rumours surprise Deepika-Farhan

Even as rumours are rife that Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapur are an item, word is out now that it is the actress’ relationship with Farhan Akhtar that has set tongues wagging in the industry.

The duo got along like a house on fire while shooting for Karthik Calling Karthik and their great camaraderie has sparked off these rumours. “They were wonderful on the sets and always had a good time. When they heard about this new link-up, they were quite surprised. In fact, they were told that it was debutante director Vijay Lalwani who was behind this gossip. Apparently, the director thought the film will gain mileage if the news of the lead actors’ link-up creates a buzz,” said a source.

When contacted, Vijay denied the accusation. “It is not true at all. I would never resort to a cheap gimmick like that,” he said.
