Predictable fare

Just think of a film with a clichéd plot and ordinary performances. The only saving grace is the music and appealing visuals. If such a no-brainer works for you, then watch Male Bille.
Mahesh Sukhadere was once considered a promising and sensible film director who made credible films with convincing plots. That is one reason why his film was eagerly awaited. But this film comes as a huge disappointment. Sukhadere who claims that he has made a trendy, youthful film has failed to understand the psyche of today’s youngsters who look for crisp narrations.

Anand and Anjali are taking their CET exams separately with their friends. Anjali mistakes Anand to be an irresponsible youngster who is indifferent to his studies, but only interested in teasing girls. She loses some cash which was reserved for the CET exams and tries to kill herself. But Anand makes her understand that this is not reason enough for her to end her life. Anjali does not buy this argument and still hates Anand for making fun of her plight. However, Anand enlists the help of a policeman, who traces the person who had cheated Anjali and gets her money back. Five years later she becomes a successful software engineer and falls for her her handsome boss Akash. Anjali and Akash decide to marry when she comes to know the sacrifice that Anand has made so that she can complete her studies. A forced suspense element is created in the last sequence of the
film.

Diganth has a small role, but the director has included a fight sequence for him. Newcomer Akshay has a long way to go. Pragna over acts initially but shows promise. Doddanna has performed her role with ease.

Manikanth’s music is appealing. Chandamama, Chandamama and Naanu Ninna Muddisuvaase songs are really well composed.
