Strings of Violin Magic

Western Classical violinist Kamila Karasheva, from Kazakhstan, will perform in Thiruvananthapuram.

Violin strings produce magical moments in music. The Trivandrum Centre for Performing Arts (TCPA) will be bringing in Kamila Karasheva, a Western Classical violinist from Kazakhstan, to Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. Music lovers can enjoy solos, quartets and quintets of selected Western Classical scores by composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Bach and Schuman.

Kamila is a graduate of the prestigious Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. Realising her immense talent, the Akhmet Zhubanov School for gifted children admitted her. She's a violinist with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra at Astana and also teaches at Akhmet Zhubanov School. Kamila is also fascinated to other genres like Pop, Rock, Jazz, Funk, Latin, Retro, Lounge, R&b etc. She will be supported in the performance by Alexander Klimov, Dana Bekpossynova, Gleb Nechaev and Kenzhegul Akshekina. The show will conclude with A.R. Rahman's Jai Ho from the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

The TCPA was founded in 2016 in a mission to create uplift in the music scene of Thiruvananthapuram. They have conducted 15 hand-picked western classical concerts in the capital city, which featured International and Indian artists. The event will take place at Hilton Garden Inn at 7 pm.
