After a series of haunting experiences, this week Sandalwood witnessed not one, but a total of eight movies hitting the screens. The title is the only thing which sounds interesting, as it opens up with an actual senior police officer talking about the presence of Naxalites in some parts of the state, and why it is important for them to come into the mainstream of society. So, it is no-brainer to understand that '6ne Maili’ has something to do with Naxalites.

Before that, the journey starts with a group of four friends, including two girls, who are travelling in a bus to an unexplored place near Uppinangadi for trekking. They first reach Ujire, and get stuck with no more public transports operating at that hour to reach their desired destination. It's dark and late, as a stranger offers them help to reach the place in his car for some money. As the journey continues, the experience of watching it is nothing short of travelling a hundred miles in a bullock cart on a country road.

And, finally just six miles away from Uppinangadi, the journey is cut short with a huge tree fallen on the road. The driver goes to clear it while asking the four to not get out of the car. But when the driver returns along with a gang of criminals, the four are not to be seen, as Seeni, the director decides to break the tale for interval.

The second half is actually a mix of first half, revealing the secrets of the four who are now missing in action. In fact, a majority of it is a cut, copy and paste of a separate and similar incident from the past. Earlier, three friends including a boy and two girls had travelled the same route and destination with striking similarity to what had happened in the first half. But, they had met a different consequence. The boy was brutally murdered and the two girls were raped before being killed.

As the suspense starts to unravel, the four are no one but undercover police officers working on the mission '6th Mile’ to nab the culprits, who have so far killed and raped many in similar modus operandi.

The brain behind the probe and their disguising act certainly raises the eyebrows! Talking about eyes, the undercover police officers, here wear blue lens and the reason is simply amazing. Well, even the award winning actor fails with this one, and the two radio jockeys who have turned actors with this one are forgettable, as is the tale.
