Shane Nigam cannot be banned: Rajeev Ravi

Rajeev, however, in the actor’s defense said that Shane cannot be banned for the fabulous actor he is.

Cinematographer and director Rajeev Ravi has come out in support of actor Shane Nigam, who was banned by the Producers Association on Thursday for not cooperating on the movie sets. The association has also said that Shane’s movies Veyil and Qurbani will be scrapped. The actor was involved in a dispute between the director and producer of his upcoming movie Veyil, which took an ugly twist when he marched out of the set and later posted a photograph on his on social media handle in which he was seen embracing a look contrary to the one he was asked to maintain for the movie.

Rajeev, however, in the actor’s defense said that Shane cannot be banned for the fabulous actor he is. He added that he would make movies with him and make Shane his assistant. The Kamattipadam director also went on to say that the actor has his own perspectives and that the association should act democratically and take initiative in sorting out the issue rather than banning a talent from a creative space. Rajeev added that the association should consider the actor’s age.

Shane had made his acting debut in 2013 with Rajeev Ravi directorial Annayum Rasoolum, which had Fahadh Faasil and Andrea playing the lead. It seems that Shane’s much-awaited release Valiyaperunnal, too, will be hit badly by the current incidents.
