SIT may quiz Kavya Madhavan again due to 'unsatisfactory' answers during probe

The SIT had questioned Kavya for six hours on Tuesday before recording the statement of her mother Shyamala.

Kochi: The Special Investigation Team probing the actor assault case is likely to quiz Kavya Madhavan again as her replies to many queries, including that of the land deals of actor Dileep and benami transactions, “were not satisfactory.”

The probe team will also seek the details of her “secret” meeting with another actor, residing in Kakkanad, after the arrest of Dileep on conspiracy charges. The cops will examine the bank account details of the actor close to Dileep and Kavya and collect her statements to ascertain if she had transacted money to the account of the accused through the benami route.

The SIT had questioned Kavya for six hours on Tuesday before recording the statement of her mother Shyamala. This was on the basis of the finding that Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, had visited an online apparel store owned by them at Kakkanad. Suni had earlier told the police that he had handed over the memory card containing the assault of an actress to the store. Both Kavya and her mother had denied knowing Suni.

Meanwhile, Dileep sought legal advice on the future course of action. The counsel advised him not to move the Supreme Court for bail in a hurry and that further action should be taken only on the basis of assessing the inquiry progress.
