THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Arya Premji, wife of social reformer and noted Malayalam actor Premji’s wife passed away here on Monday morning due to old age. She was 99. Senior journalist, M. P. Neelakantan (Neelan) is her son. Recently he had taken a documentary, ‘Amma’ based on her travails which bagged the national award for the best documentary this year.
Arya Premji had also acted as a left councilor in Thrissur municipality from 1964 for five years. Apart from Neelan, she also leaves behind M. P. Premachandran (KPAC), M. P. Hareendranathan (Retd. Deputy Registrar, CUSAT), M. P. Induchoodan (Retd. Colonel, Army), M. P. Sathi (Exec. Secy, MARDEP, Thrissur)
Funeral was held on Monday at 5 pm at Shanthi Kavadam.
