National award winning film director Biju gets back his Wikipedia page

Thiruvananthapuram: National award winning film director Dr Biju received his Wikpedia page back following intervention from friends. Biju had earlier complained on social media that the Wikipedia page related to him was deleted by someone using a fake Id.

Dr Biju told this newspaper that for the past two to three months there was a concrete attempt to deface that page. The information relating to international film festivals where his film was screened was first removed.

Later, a fake id Nairspecht was created and it complained to Wikipedia that the photo used in the page had copyright violations.

“After the page was removed two of my friends Sanjay and Sreenath sent a message to Wikipedia explaining my background. Within eight hours, I got the page back,” he said.
