Two Malayalam films in global contest at International Film Festival of Kerala

The contest will be from Dec. 8

Thiruvananthapuram: Two Malayalam films have been chosen to compete in the international competition section at International Film Festival of Kerala. Sanju Surendran’s Aeden: A Garden of Desire and Prem Shankar’s Randu Per have been selected to be part of the competition section of the festival to be held from December 8 to 15. The committee which selected the two movies also announced seven films which will be part of ‘Malayalam Cinema Today’.

Take Off directed by Mahesh Narayanan, Tondimuthalum Driksakshiyum by Dileesh Pothen, Karutha Joothan by Salimkumar, Sexy Durga by Sanalkumar Sasidharan, Angamali Diaries by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Maravi by Satheesh and Santhosh Babusenan, Athisayangalude Venal by Prasanth Vijay have been chosen to be screened as part of this section.

The committee which chose the films was chaired by cinematographer Ramachandra Babu. Filmmakers Chelavoor Venu, M.G. Sasi and Judhajiith Sarkar, and film academician Veena Hariharan were members of the committee.
