Kochi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the actor abduction and sexual assault case would oppose actor Dileep’s plea to relax bail conditions and would file a report before the court this week itself. Sources said the prosecution would argue that upon the actor getting nod to travel abroad by relaxing bail norms, there are chances of him influencing witnesses in the case. The cops would also highlight earlier instances of the actor “violating” bail norms. Sources said the actor, while on bail, contacted Nadirshah, a key witness, which amounted to violation of one of the bail conditions.
Similarly, he also allegedly tried to influence a few employees with Lakshya, an online apparel store run by the actor’s wife Kavya Madhavan. An employee of Lakshya, a key witness in the case, had changed his stance in favour of Dileep before a magistrate. Meanwhile, the investigation officers hinted that the additional chargesheet would be submitted before the Angamaly Magistrate court “this week itself” though they refused to pinpoint a specific date. The actor is likely to be arraigned as eight accused in the chargsheet which names a total of 11 accused. There are over 300 witnesses and 450 documents to make it a fool proof case. Actor Dileep will face conspiracy charges.
