If things go according to plan, Manju Warrier will dance before Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the three-day BJP National Council scheduled to begin on Thursday in Kozhikode, she’ll be dancing before an august audience, most likely a classical dance form. Many party bigwigs are attending the council including BJP national president Amit Shah.
Confirming reports, sources close to Manju Warrier said she has received a proposal from the party and the actor is yet to say yes to the invitation.
With actor Suresh Gopi winning a BJP ticket to Rajya Sabha, speculations have been rife that the party’s invitation is a prelude to her future entry to politics. Recently, Manju Warrier appeared as Shakunthala in theatre veteran Kavalam Narayana Panicker’s final project Abhijnana Shakunthalam staged in Thiruvananthapuram. Her recent film was Karinkunnam Sixes, where she was paired opposite Anoop Menon.
