2 Days, which aspires to be the first Malayalam movie shot in a single take, will hit the screens tomorrow. "The whole movie is filmed in a single, continuous shot without any cuts,” says director Nissar.
The two-hour-long movie talks about social media and its effects on youth. The film features four debutants, Anagha, Gauri, Jeevitha and Digna in the lead roles.
The other cast include the likes of Samudrakani, Riyaskhan, Sunil Sugatha, Manuraj, Premlal, Thirumala Ramachandran, Alappey Johnson, Jayasankar, Najeeb, Ramesh, Mallikarani and Anil Murali.
In 2015 a German film named Victoria was filmed in a single shot, making '2 Days' the newest addition to the single shot films list. “This could be the first ever Indian film in a single shot. I have heard that a Hindi movie used the same technique. It was shot on a digital camera. But my film was completely shot in Red Epic,” says Nissar.
