Vinay Forrt and Joju George appear in lead roles in debutant Senthil Rajan’s upcoming film Kadam Katha. The pun conveyed in the title forms the crux of the movie – that it is a story on debt-ridden youth. Renji Panicker and Aanandam fame Roshan Mathew have crucial roles to play.
“The movie name indicates what it is all about. It is sort of a word derived from sankadam (woes) arising out of kadam (debt). Vinay’s character Giri and Jojo’s Cleetus are fallen neck deep in debt and associated problems. It is their attempt to get rid of the trouble that steers the plot forward. While reeling in the trauma, Renji Panicker, a biz-man comes to their rescue. Helping him tide over a situation turns positive for them,” says a source close to the movie. Director Senthil is an ad-man turned director.
Kadam Katha started rolling in Kochi, where it is to be shot completely in this place. Though the female lead is yet to be finalised, Srindaa Arhaan has been roped in to the cast.
Faisal Ali is the DOP. Screenwriter is Philip Sigi. The movie has three songs to be penned by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, Santhosh Varma and Manu Manjith. All songs will be set to tune by musician Deepankuran. Kadam Katha is produced under the banner of Masoom Entertainments.
