Sathyan Anthikkad wished a Happy Vishu and announced his new movie Malayali through a Facebook post. Fahadh Faasil will play the protagonist, Prakashan, he wrote “Sreenivasan and I were waiting for a new story. We thought of different stories and dropped them. One early morning I found Sreenivasan sitting in the front room. ‘Got the story’, he said. ‘We don’t have to go anywhere for stories, there are characters all around us.’ Dasan, Vijayan, Gopalakrishna Panicker, Murali, Kanjana, Shyamala and Thalathil Dineshan were all characters Sreeni found from around us. Now he says let’s tell the story of Prakashan, the man who changed his name to P.R. Akash by putting it up on the gazette,” Sathyan wrote.
The new film is produced by Sethu Mannarkad under the banner of Full Moon Cinema. The shooting will begin in the first week of July. S Kumar is the cinematographer and Shaan Rahman will compose the music.
