It has been three days since state award-winning director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan revealed the name of his next project — Sexy Durga — with the first look poster. From the day of announcement, it has been touted as an erotic thriller.
When quizzed about this the director says, “No… this is not an erotic thriller. Sexy Durga is an out and out social satire film. But yes, erotic content will stand as backdrop of the story,” he says.
Rajashri Deshpande, who earlier acted in Pan Nalin’s Angry Indian Goddesses, will essay the lead role in the film. Sanal says the major share of cast and crew of his earlier film — Ozhivu Divasathe Kali — will be retained for Sexy Durga. Prathap Joseph, who canned the camera for Sudevan’s award-winning film CR No: 89, will be the cinematographer.
