Fashion designer Saritha Jayasurya, whose costumes for her actor husband in Punyalan Agarbathis, Su Su Sudhi Valmeekam, Pretham and Fukri, were noted for their fresh look, was in for a surprise when super star Mohanlal approached her asking if she could design a few kurtas for him.
According to Jayasurya, who detailed the incident in a Facebook post, Lal had called him up asking if Saritha could design a couple of kurtas – akin to the ones in Fukri – for him. He happily agreed and went to the actor's home with his wife and the kurtas. "As Lal tried each one, Saritha looked thrilled. As we bade goodbye, Saritha said, 'This is the biggest recognition a designer like me can get'," the post read. A photo of the actor in Saritha's costume was also posted on his wall.
