Unconfirmed reports were doing the rounds that Biju Menon is all set to wear the cap of a producer again and it would be for Vellakaduva directed by Jose Thomas. Biju himself essays the lead role in the movie. When quizzed about it, Biju says “No there is no such decision. I am just acting in this film. And moreover, we have another producer.”
Biju dons the role of a car driver in this film which is written by Babu Janardhanan. Biju will speak Thrissur slang in this film, which is a maiden attempt in his film career. “Though I belong to Thrissur, this is the first time I’ve got a chance to deliver typical Thrissur slang for a film,” says the actor who was noted for his Palakkad slang in Ordinary.
So, what is the current status of his production house — ‘Thakkali films’, which has actor Suresh Krishna, directors Shajoon Kariyal, Sachi and P Sukumar as the partners? “It has been around for three years since we produced Chettayees. We still have plans to produce yet another film under same banner. But as of now everyone is busy with different projects. Of course we will come up with another film under the banner of Thakkali films soon,” he sums up.
