The first look poster of Tovino Thomas starrer Edakkad Battalion 06 was done by Mammootty through his social media page. The movie, wherein Tovino plays the role of an army officer has been directed by debutant Swapnesh K Nair and scripted by P Balachandran who will also appear in a pivotal role. Yesteryear actor Rekha who has been part of famous Malayalam films like Ramji Rao Speaking, and Aye Auto will play the role of Tovino’s mother in the movie.
Other actors who appear in a prominent role are Joy Mathew, Sudheesh and Samyuktha Menon. Edakkad Battalion 06 will be produced by Dr Shrikant Bhasi, Thomas Joseph Pattathanam, and Jayant Mammen under the banner of Ruby Films. The music is being composed by Kailas Menon who had composed the hit song Jeevamshamayi from Tovino’s Theevandi.
