Unconfirmed reports seem to indicate that Samuthirakani is keen to remake the film in Malayalam with a slightly tweaked storyline.

Samuthirakani has become a familiar name to Malayalis considering his appearances in various films including the latest Priyadarshan hit Oppam starring Mohanlalin which he played the antagonist. Samuthirakani has also directed a number of films in Tamil including the recent film Appa that looks at the bonds between parents and children.
Unconfirmed reports seem to indicate that Samuthirakani is keen to remake the film in Malayalam with a slightly tweaked storyline. The news coming from sources seem to place Jayaram as the top person to play Samuthirakani’s role in the Malayalam remake. The other details are awaited.
