Director Salim Ahmed has shared the first look of his new movie And the Oscar Goes to through his Facebook page on Sunday. The director will be back in action after the much-acclaimed Pathemari. Tovino Thomas will play the lead role along with Anu Sithara and a foreign actress. The movie focuses on the world of cinema and Tovino is reportedly playing the role of a struggling filmmaker.
The team also boasts of a strong technical team. Madhu Ambat will be handling the camera. Bijibal will lend the music and Resul Pookutty has been roped in for sound designing and mixing. The shooting of the movie has already begun. It will have schedules in the US and Canada too. Tovino has high expectations from this movie and shared a Facebook post stating that he is blessed to work with such an amazing cast and crew. Currently, he is shooting for Lucifer and his long-awaited movie Theevandi is slated for release on September 7.
