Malayalam actress abduction: Kavya Madhavan visits Dileep in jail

Kochi: Actor Kavya Madhavan and Dileep's daughter in his first marriage Meenakshi have visited the jailed superstar on Saturday evening at Aluva Sub Jail near here. Kavya was making her first public appearance since his arrest. Her father, Madhavan, accompanied them. They spent close to 25 minutes inside the jail with Dileep from 4.10 pm. Kavya refused to talk to reporters as she emerged from the prison. She came in a white SUV and rushed back home soon. Dileep was arrested on July 10. Though he moved bail application before the High Court on two occasions, the court refused to grant bail.

The other day the main accused in the actor abduction and sexual assault case, Pulsar Suni, had claimed that Kavya was his "madam". Earlier he said a madam was behind the crime. Police says issues in his personal life led Dileep to engage Suni to commit the heinous act. Police claimed that Appunni, his manager, was interrogated but he did not cooperate and that they had materials disclosing that Suni entrusted the mobile and memory card with his counsels- Pratheesh Chacko and Raju Joseph. The advocates questioned by the police had taken a stand that the phone was destroyed. The original memory card is still not recovered. The sleuths are still in an attempt to unearth the important material objects to implicate Dileep.
