Film-maker Ashiq Abu flays FEFKA

Ashiq Abu also refuted FEFKA's accusations against him in the post where he wrote his bad experiences with the organisation.

KOCHI: Film-maker Ashiq Abu on Saturday said he was happy that FEFKA has shed its silence, although belatedly, on actor Dileep's re-entry into AMMA. But he also accused that FEFKA is an organisation which took service charge for solving an issue in the past. "..FEFKA was silent even after knowing women are not safe in their workplace. But I happily welcome the late response from them although it was a criticism..," the post reads.

Ashiq Abu also refuted FEFKA's accusations against him in the post where he wrote his bad experiences with the organisation. "I am happy that the door is open in FEFKA for my response. I was late because I was travelling," the post said. Ashiq Abu had said the other day that FEFKA and its general secretary B.Unnikrishnan were supporting Dileep. Unnikrishnan retorted that FEFKA was the first organisation to take action after Dileep was made an accused in the case. The action will rema in till he is proved innocent, he said.

Meanwhile, actor Shammi Thilakan on Saturday urged AMMA to apologise for defaming his father, the late Thilakan. ''My father (Thilakan) was ousted from AMMA for wrong reasons. He had a special bond with Mohanlal, who is the president now. I expect a positive response from him and I ask AMMA to correct its mistake and apologise to my father," he said.
