KOZHIKODE: It is time for relief to Diya Fathima, a six-year-old girl undergoing bone marrow transplantation. She received financial aid from the film industry on Thursday. Undergoing treatment at Vellore Medical College, she requires '25 lakh for transplant and more for additional treatment.
Crew members of the film Pallikoodam, the theme of which revolves around people contributing their one-day remuneration for treatment. “It's a great help from these individuals, and this money will add to the fund we already have,” said Nisar, Diya’s father’.
Pallikoodam crew also expressed their joy in giving aid for a good cause. “We hope this moment will be an inspiration for others too to fulfill our responsibility towards society,” actor Vineeth said.
Director Gireesh P.C. Palam, cinematographer M.J. Radhakrishnan, actor Bijukuttan, actress Ambika Mohan and Fr Johny Kanjirathinkal also expressed their gratitude.
