A realistic film, indeed!

The flick went on floors last year and had its audio launch in June 2015, but it is yet to make its way to the screens.

Director Meera Kathiravan made his debut in Kollywood with Aval Peyar Tamizharasi. Now the director is ready with his second film, Vizhithiru, which boasts an ensemble cast of Kreshna, Vidharth, Dhansika, Venkat Prabhu and Baby Sara Arjun in significant roles. Meera tells DC, “This is a realistic film and will concentrate on four parallel stories. The film will emphasise on how one’s action can influence others, making a drastic impack.”

The flick went on floors last year and had its audio launch in June 2015, but it is yet to make its way to the screens. “We had completed the movie before the Chennai floods. With election and Kabali fever grabbing the limelight, we were looking for the right time to release it. The movie is expected to hit the theatres sometime before September,” he adds.

Talking about the shooting experience, Meera quips, “We were bent on helming the film only in Chennai as the story is set in the city and happens in one night. It took time for the entire city to calm down and we ended up working a maximum of four hours in a day. The night schedule went on for 120 days and the tiredness took a toll on our health. “

Venkat Prabhu appears as a single father of Baby Sara Arjun in the film — “As an actor, I love Venkat Prabhu. He plays a doting father and his character is interesting. When he arrives on the set, he would shed his director image and enter as an actor.” Sai Dhansika and Vidharth play lovers in the film and they tease each other throughout the film. The director feels that their pairing will be appreciated once the film releases.
