If sources are to be believed, director Shankar who prefers to go abroad for picturising song sequences, has taken an exemption for 2.0. The buzz is that the director is recreating Ukraine with the help of world-class VFX experts in Chennai for a song. According to an insider, the song in AR Rahman’s composition, which features Rajini and Amy Jackson, has already been shot in the city and the backdrop will be changed with scenic Ukraine visuals.
Vishnu’s third production venture starts
Actor Vishnu Vishal turned producer with Velainnu Vandhuta Vellakaran, which became a blockbuster hit. The Maaveeran Kittu actor has finalised his third project in his banner with VVV’s co-director Chella Ayyavu. The untitled film is said to be a laugh riot which will go on floors in 2017. Music director Leon James, costume designer Joy Crizilda and cinematographer Shakthi are part of the team. Currently, Vishnu is shooting for Kadhanayagan and Ram Kumar’s untitled flick.
