At a time when big actresses are keeping mum towards raising funds for Nadigar Sangam, Nikki Galrani who is relatively new, has come forward with a contribution of Rs 3 lakhs for the NS’s funds.
Other actors like Vishal (who has given Rs 5 crores), Sivakumar, Suriya, Karthi (together have given Rs 5 crores), and veteran actresses like Vanisree, Jayachithra, Radha, Sathyapriya have also contributed decent sums for NS building funds.
When we queried her as to what prompted her to offer money to Nadigar Sangam, she replies, “I do not know about others. This is my way of showing gratitude to the Tamil film industry, which has given me a warm welcome with open hands. It is but a small gesture to help those veterans who are not in a position to perform due to age and illness.”
