Madhavan to write dialogues for Hindi version of Vikram Vedha

The actor turns dialogue writer for the Hindi version of Sarkunam's upcoming film.

Actor Madhavan, who made a strong comeback this year with the riveting sports drama Irudhi Suttru, is currently shooting for Vikram Vedha, helmed by the director duo Pushkar and Gayathri. The actor will be seen as an encounter specialist in the film alongside Vijay Sethupathi, who plays a gangster. Maddy also recently said that he is expecting four releases in 2017.

Earlier, we had reported that he would be teaming up with Sarkunam of Chandi Veeran fame for a commercial film. The director is now busy with the pre-production of the untitled film, which will see Madhavan in a village get-up. In recent developments, we hear that this film will also be made in Hindi. Considering that the Vettai actor has a great fan-base in Bollywood, the news doesn’t come as a surprise at all. Even his previous film, Irudhi Suttru was simultaneously made in Hindi as Saala Khadoos.

Speaking to DC, Sarkunam says, “Yes, we will be doing the film in Hindi and currently we are finalising the cast and crew.” Another surprise element with this film is that Madhavan will be penning the dialogue for the Hindi version of the movie! However, Sarkunam is not willing to reveal any more details.

This isn’t the first time that Madhavan is penning dialogues for a film. He had donned the same role for Ramji Londonwaley (remake of Nala Damayanthi) and Nishikanth Kamath’s Evano Oruvan.

Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, who is awaiting the release of Mayavan, is playing the villain in this untitled project. The film will be shot in locales like Thailand, Nepal, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
