Sundeep Kishan from Tollywood who made an impressive debut in Tamil with an adult comedy Yaaruda Mahesh, could not sustain himself in the industry because the film didn’t fare well at the box-office. Now, after a gap of three years, the actor returns back with a city- centric thriller Maanagaram.
It is about four people played by actors Sree, Sandeep Kishan, Charlie, and Munishkanth from small towns who come to the city of Chennai and how the city treats them. “The movie is a thriller and although the four characters have different agendas, there will be a connect between their stories. I have tried the hyperlink method of story-telling,” director Logesh stated.
Talking about the film Sundeep said, “When Logesh narrated the story, I was floored and wanted to produce the movie myself. But producer SR Prabhu had already grabbed it.”
Sree, yet another hero, was all praise for the director. He went one step ahead and said, “I was speechless when I sat for the story narration with Logesh. I requested him to keep me as his assistant while working. I gained hands-on-experience with him.” Regina Cassandra who is back in Tamil and busy with a handful of flicks is the solo heroine of the movie.
