Vijay Sethupathi to work in Cheran's next film?

He is likely to sign a film with director Cheran.

National award-winning director Cheran is known for his signature style of filmmaking — exploring relationships within a family, in a realistic manner. His films Autograph, Thavamai Thavamirundhu, Pandavar Bhoomi, to name a few, won critical acclaim besides several awards. The director has been lying low for the past few years, especially after his JK Enum Nanbanin Vazhkai did not work out when he tried to introduce the direct-to-home scheme — C2H — to release the film.

After the Sethupathi-starrer Dharmadurai under Seenu Ramasamy’s direction became a huge hit, there has once again begun a craze for family subjects.
Meanwhile, recently ace filmmaker Ameer revealed to DC that he met Vijay Sethupathi (who is choosy about his scripts and picks only those that connect to him ) and told him to work with a good filmmaker like Cheran who is missing in action due to various reasons. He also told him that sensible filmmakers sitting idle is not a healthy trend in Tamil cinema!

Now, a close source to the Naanum Rowdy Thaan star informs us that the actor called Cheran, listened to a script and liked it. Sethupathi reportedly asked the director to go ahead with the family drama and come back once locked.
