While Ilayathalapathy Vijay is shooting for his 61st film, directed by Atlee, rumours about his next project have already started surfacing. Speculations are rife that he will be teaming up with AR Murugadoss for the third time after the mammoth success of Thuppakki and Kaththi.
It was earlier confirmed that AR Murugadoss had officially signed the agreement with Raju Mahalingam of Lyca. When DC contacted producer Raju about Vijay’s inclusion in the film, all he said — “It’s all in process.” However, a source stated that Vijay has given his nod for the project and the film will commence by the end of 2017. Since AR Murugadoss and Vijay are busy with their present commitments, the pre-production work of Vijay 62 hasn’t started yet. After wrapping up his film with Mahesh Babu by April, the director will kickstart this project. If the film goes on as per plan, it will be a Deepavali 2018 release, according to the sources.
Meanwhile, AR Murugadoss’s film with Mahesh Babu will hit the theatres on June 23 worldwide.
